Cookie Policy

Effective Date: September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how RandomPickerWheelOfNames utilizes cookies and browser local storage technologies when you visit our website (https://randompickerwheelofnames.com/).

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. Browser local storage (such as localStorage) is a modern client-side storage technology that allows web applications to store preferences and settings securely in your browser without transmitting sensitive personal records across the internet.

2. Essential & Functional Storage

We use browser local storage solely for essential operational convenience on our website:

• Wheel Configuration: Saving your active name or number entries so your list is preserved if you accidentally refresh or close the tab.
• Sound Preferences: Remembering your audio choices (sound effects, ticking sound, and celebration applause toggle).
• Animation Settings: Storing your custom spin duration and visual theme preferences.

These entries stay exclusively on your personal device and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

3. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements when you visit our website. To make advertising sustainable, relevant, and secure, third-party vendors, including Google, utilize cookies and web beacons:

• Serving Ads Based on Prior Visits: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.
• Personalized Advertising: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Fraud Prevention & Frequency Capping: Cookies help prevent fraudulent ad clicks and ensure you do not repeatedly see the exact same advertisement.

How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising:

You have full control over your advertising preferences:

• You may opt out of Google personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party advertising cookies across many ad networks by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance Consumer Choice page at www.aboutads.info/choices or for European visitors at Your Online Choices.

4. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to monitor aggregate website traffic, popular features, and user interaction patterns. Google Analytics employs performance cookies to track metrics such as time on page, country of origin, and referral sources. All IP addresses are processed in an anonymized fashion.

5. Managing and Disabling Cookies

Most modern web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-party cookies.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari: Preferences / Settings → Privacy → Block all cookies.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Please note that blocking all cookies or clearing local storage will reset your saved wheel lists and custom sound options back to factory defaults.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update our Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our technology, partner requirements, or applicable legal standards. Any updates will take effect immediately upon publication on this page.

7. Questions and Inquiries
